The Faroese Folk High School welcomes refugees
In the current refugee situation, many Danish Folk High Schools are offering a place to stay and a possibility for the newcomers to interact with their students. We at Føroya Fólkaháskúli are proud, that the Faroese Immigration Office and the Red Cross have chosen us as reception centre. The collaboration means, that a part of the school facilities is a temporary home for refugees, while awaiting their residence permit and being able to settle in the Faroes.
Our shared aim is to collaborate on designing future events and courses with a focus on integration and multiculturalism. To meet, be curious, inform and maybe give a sliver of hope in the darkness.
